Be a Part of Our Conservation Effort at Darlington!

DSHSaturday, May 3
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

600 Ramapo Valley Rd. Mahwah, NJ 07430
Stop by at your convenience!

Join us as we take our first step in building a free standing, dry stone wall at the Darlington Schoolhouse on Saturday, May 3. We invite you to stop by the schoolhouse to help sort native fieldstone.

During the removal of the existing boiler room and garage, we were careful to reserve the fieldstone with the purpose of creating a dry stone wall, which will line the perimeter of the building.

On May 3, Trail Conference volunteers will sort the fieldstones into size order. We are field stonecalling upon our friends and members of the local community to help us progress. We will provide a brief tour of the schoolhouse, a pizza lunch and working gloves–we just need you!

Check out our flyer and pass it around!

About Trail Walker

Since 1920, the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference has partnered with parks to create, protect, and promote a network of more than 2,100 miles of public trails in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan region. The Trail Conference organizes volunteer service projects that keep these trails open, safe, and enjoyable for the public. We publish maps and books that guide public use of these trails. The Trail Conference is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization with a membership of 10,000 individuals and 100 clubs with a combined membership of 100,000 active, outdoor-loving people.
