Get Outside, Give Back: Giving Tuesday Week 2016

The save-the-date-2016Trail Conference’s #GivingTuesday Week is the perfect time to skip the holiday crowds, get outside, and support trails this holiday season. When you give the gift of trails Nov. 22 through 29, you can even send your support to the trail region that’s most important to you.

Starting Tuesday, Nov. 22, you can designate your gift to trail work in any of our four regions: New Jersey, New York east of the Hudson River, New York west of the Hudson, or the Catskills.  You can also opt to support all regions, help us fight invasive species through our Invasives Strike Force, or contribute to our new website. Check out the 2016 accomplishments of our programs throughout our regions.

And don’t forget to #OptOutside…

This year, the Trail Conference is joining REI’s #OptOutside campaign, inviting you to skip the mall, get outside, and enjoy the trails made possible by our hard-working volunteers. Join us on Black Friday, Nov. 25, for a stewardship hike on Breakneck Ridge. Or use our hike finder to #OptOutside by planning your own adventure.

After your #OptOutside hike, take a few minutes to give thanks for trails and the people who build and protect them by logging onto our #GivingTuesday page. Together we can make a tremendous impact on trails and trail lands. Your tax-deductible gift helps create, rebuild, and maintain trails. It also protects your rights to access nature and the wild backcountry.

Last year, folks just like you gave over $32,000 to trails during #GivingTuesday Week. Please help us do even more to protect your trails this holiday season! Mark your calendars now, and visit our #GivingTuesday page starting Tuesday, Nov. 22. Together we can make this happen!
