Minnewaska Trifecta Plus, October 27

Dave Webber gets his Trail Conference award from Larry Wheelock with park supervisor Eric Humphrie.

I was at Minnewaska for some work-related picture-taking: an award to the park’s volunteer supervisor Dave Webber presented by the Trail Conference, the first day of a big, multi-trip step building project by the Jolly Rover volunteer trail crew. I took advantage of being in the park to do a 4-5 mile hike that included an inspection of our’ Blueberry Run trail, giving it a seasonal pre-winter visit.

Volunteer Trails Chair for the region, Patty Lee Parmalee, was similarly multi-tasked minded. She had brought the season’s trail reporting forms to review on the spot with Dave. Award or no, the paperwork must be completed!

The Jolly Rovers fly a rock into place on the Rainbow Falls trail.

Patty Lee Parmalee and Dave Webber complete paperwork.
