Darlington Schoolhouse: A New Life for Old Windows

windowsThe Trail Conference is continuing to keep up with best practices for historic preservation as restoration moves forward at Darlington Schoolhouse.

We have been able to keep the entire building intact, including new windowssalvaging the original rear windows for a new project.  Glass from two pairs of windows on each floor of the building will be re-purposed to create a set of rustic display cabinets.  Local carpenter Jim Carter of Jim Carter Corp. in Riverdale, N.J., has volunteered his skills to help transform the windows into functional storage spaces.
